Letter of GuaranteeAs a country within the Schengen zone since 2007, Slovenia allows comfortable travel opportunities to Schengen Visa holders and to EU/EEA citizens. EU/EEA citizens do not need a passport to enter Slovenia, only a valid identity card. Foreign citizens can enter Slovenia with a valid passport and a visa.

The 20th FEBS Young Scientists’ Forum (YSF 2020) will be organized in Lovran, Opatija Riviera, Croatia. Croatia is a member of EU, but not in Schengen zone. The information how to obtain a visa for Croatia, is available at http://www.mvep.hr/en/consular-information/visas/visa-requirements-overview/ . Young Scientists’ Forum participants who will attend FEBS 2020 Congress in Ljubljana should check at https://www.gov.si/en/registries/countries/ whether they need Schengen visa to enter Slovenia.
In cases, if you need a Schengen visa to enter Slovenia, the Congress Secretariat can provide you with the approved Letter of Guarantee to help you to obtain the visa. The letter can be provided you after registering to FEBS 2020 and completing your registration payment. Please note that each approved Letter of Guarantee costs 55 Euro.
